The street assets were modeled in 3ds Max and brought into Substance Painter 2 for texturing and baking normals. I built these first and made variations for each asset: trashcans, sign holders, kiosks, and street poles. I wanted to create a lot of clutter in the streets to make the environment more lived in and believable, as well as interesting.

The hologram material was a little tricky to set up. I used a fresnel to control the edge glow intensity and spread of the holograms. It also adds a different color so its not one base color. I created black and white lines that has a panner going at different speeds and changed the sizing of the lines to have parallax. This also creates illusion of the flashing hologram effect.
